"Xie et al. [43] observed that maternal mice supplemented with EBN during the pregnancy or lactation period facilitated learning and memory performances in the offsprings, which was attributed to the fact that EBN supplementation increased BDNF levels, the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and choline acetyltransferase (ChAT), as well as the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) and the activity of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) were decreased in brain."
