"Additionally, we uncovered the mechanism by which OTUD6A activates EZH2: 1) OTUD6A directly interacts with EZH2; 2) OTUD6A cleaves K48-linked polyubiquitin chains on EZH2 at lysine 569, thereby preventing its proteasomal degradation and enhancing the stability and levels of EZH2; 3) OTUD6A elevation of EZH2 and H3K27me3 protein levels in primary hepatocytes treated with APAP contributed to decreased ER stress and reduced hepatocyte death."
