"As illustrated in XREF_FIG, our analysis suggests that fetuin A can be activated by TCDD via the AhR and RelA (activation of an activator), and then RelA directly activates fetuin A. PCB 153 and p, p '-DDE can inhibit RelA (inhibition of an inhibitor) via the PXR and the AR, respectively, and then RelA can activate fetuin A. Again, it is a noteworthy observation that RelA could represent a common step in the activation of fetuin A, IL-6, and TNF-alpha by all of these POPs."
